Liberty Street Brews, BBQ and other news

We will once again have Smokey Rhodes BBQ at the dock tomorrow from 5-9 pm or until he runs out of food again. His food is so good, from the ribs to the brisket, and pulled pork – if you ask nice, maybe he’ll have some of his candied double smoked bacon. The pulled pork goes great with the Clementine Lemon Thyme, and Red Glare is a nice match for the ribs. Don’t be late and miss out!
As a compliment to CLT’s citrusy freshness, we have a batch of Studly Monk coming to tap soon. Who doesn’t like a beer with a summery citrus character? Well, this one has a great orange flavor due to a new ingredient supplier, and loaded with juniper berries for a twist. Unlike the other summer drinks, this one has a higher alcohol content, so alternate them between smaller beers for better enjoyment.
As an update on the new brewery, we have finally started to move heavy stuff into the building this week with the shiny stainless starting to arrive next week. There is certainly a lot of work to get everything up and running, so hopefully by the end of this summer (or early fall?) we will be brewing full time at the new brewery in Livonia. Jim and Rob are keeping everything moving at Liberty Street while we transition into increased packaging and distribution.
